Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, Laura has over eighteen years’ experience as a civil litigator in top tier law firms in Ireland and New Zealand (over 11 years practicing in NZ). Laura's practice in both countries has provided her with the opportunity to represent clients in a wide variety of large and small civil disputes, including insurance, employment, contract, negligence, construction, medico-legal and company disputes.
Laura has acted for clients in disputes brought in the NZ Courts (up to the Supreme Court), Irish District, Civil and High Courts, NZ Weather Tight Homes Tribunal, NZ Real Estate disciplinary board and the NZ Employment Relations Authority.
Laura is a skilled negotiator and has successfully represented many clients in mediations and judicial settlement conferences.
Laura has been named as a Recommended Lawyer for Insurance in the European Legal 500 rankings. She has lectured for the Insurance Diploma at the Law Society of Ireland and has co-authored various industry publications, including the Irish Chapters of the Insurance Disputes Law Review and the Professional Negligence Review. She also has a diploma in Employment Law from the Law Society of Ireland.
Laura is a mum to three humans and one dog. She is a huge sports fan and proudly supports the All Blacks (unless they are playing Ireland - then it's Green all the way!)
